I think I understand your frustration in trying to identify grant applications. The entire process of finding and applying for grants can be very confusing. Unfortunately there is no one source that has all the questions to your questions on grants as there is no one source for all grant applications.
Here is some history on grants that may be helpful in getting what you need.
If it is grants you are looking for, I assume that you are in need of free money to help you with any financial constraints you may be encountering. What most people do not realize is, that, if you are looking for free money you have to ask for more than grants. Only 80% of the free money available from the government is called grants. These government free money programs are also called direct payments, loans you don't pay back, venture capital, vouchers, and other things. So, if you are seeking free money you should use the term "financial assistance" instead of "grants." This will help insure that you do not limit yourself to only 20% of the free money that may be available to you.
These "financial assistance" programs are available from literally thousands of different offices located in the federal, state and local governments as well as non-profit organizations. The difficult part is searching thru these thousands of different programs to locate those programs and offices that can help you and that you are eligible for.
The actual applications for each of the programs reside within the offices that run the programs. So once you identify a program, all you have to do is contact the office and ask for a copy of the application. Make sure you fill out the application even though you are not positive that you are eligible. My motto is "WHEN IN DOUBT, FILL IT OUT." You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Start your digging and take a look at our website: www.myamericanbenefitsplan.com. We have over 1,000 programs there for all income categories. This means you can get free government money even if you are a millionaire.
Below is a list of some more basic programs that are mostly for people with lower or middle income. I wanted to make sure you don't miss these if you have a real need. Studies show that there are about 40 million people who are eligible just for these programs below and don't apply because they do not know about them. Don't let yourself be one of those 40 million. And keep checking other sources for more programs.
Uncle Sam wants women and kids to have healthy food. The Women, Infant and Children (WIC) Program's mission is to safeguard the health of low-income women, infants, and children up to age 5 that are at nutritional risk by providing nutritious foods to supplement diets, information on healthy eating, and referrals to health care. WIC foods include iron-fortified infant formula and infant cereal, iron-fortified adult cereal, vitamin C-rich fruit and/or vegetable juice, eggs, milk, cheese, peanut butter, dried beans or peas, tuna fish and carrots.
In addition to the regular WIC program, a majority of the states have chosen to operate the WIC Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (FMNP), established in 1992, it provides additional coupons to WIC participants that they can use to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at participating farmers' markets. Find the office you your state that handles these programs by contacting the office of Public Health in your state capital or the national WIC office at www.fns.usda.gov/fns/ Income Eligibility Requirements: $35,798/Yr for a family of 4
Remember these are money programs that are paid for by your tax dollars, and they have the potential of really solving some of your current financial problems. Keep thinking of this as you are searching for programs. It is not likely to be an easy process. And, truthfully, most good things in life are not easy. So keep persevering. Keep believing in yourself and in the system, even though it keeps giving you some set backs. A good fighter picks himself up off the floor when he is knocked down and then gets up and keeps fighting. If you don't get up, you let the system beat you. And this does not have to be like that in America.
Good luck to you.
