North Arkansas Electric Cooperative (NAEC), a Touchstone Energy Cooperative, provides low interest rates for energy efficiency improvements in the home through the Energy Resource Conservation Loan. Heat pumps must be sized according to North Arkansas Electric design requirements determined at the time of the energy audit. Loans must be approved before work is done. Water-source heat pump loans under $9,000 and air-to-air heat pump loans under $5,000 may receive a 5% interest rate payable up to 7 years. Low Interest Loans to Encourage Energy Efficiency
Petit Jean Electric Cooperative is a member-owned rural electric cooperative that serves customers in the Clinton and Marshall areas. To encourage energy efficiency in homes, Petit Jean Electric offers low-interest loans to single-family homes and multi-family homes for upgrades to heat pumps, building insulation, windows, doors and other appliances and building envelope improvements. Customers can borrow up to $3,000 for single-family dwelling, $4,000 for structures with 2-4 units, and $1000 per unit for multi-family units.
